BLACK POWDER CARTRIDGE RIFLE

2012 SHOOTS  -  SELKIRK, MANITOBA

 May 20^th and August 4^th & 5^th (2 day shoot)

 Location:  East Selkirk Rifle Range, East Selkirk, Manitoba

 Targets:  Silhouettes (Chicken, Pigs, Turkeys & Rams) from 50 yds. -  220 yds.

 Shooting starts at 9:00 am each day. Reduced silhouettes will be used.

All Firearms must be single shot with an exposed hammer and equipment with iron sights, no optics. Cartridges must be loaded with Black Powder or Black Powder substitute using lead projectiles only. 

 Time limit: For the first bank of 5 silhouettes is 7 minutes including sighter shots on the sighting silhouette.  The second bank of animals is 5 minutes.No sighters.

 Shooting format:  Once a competitor has shot at the sighter silhouette and is ready to shoot at the 5 scoring silhouettes he must take 5 rounds from his cartridge box and close the lid.  His designated spotter sitting next to him will score the event and assist their partner by telling him the point of impact of his hits etc.

Silhouettes are as follows: 

Chickens at 50 yds. Standing, Unsupported.

Pigs at 100 yds. X-sticks

Turkeys at 150 yds.  X-sticks

Rams at 220 yds. X-sticks.

 Cost: $15.00 per day

 We will be having a Moose burger BBQ on the 6^th, after the shoot. A Fun Shoot is also planned for the evening of the 6^th time permitting.

Bring your own lunch; meals are not available at the Club house.

 Hotel accommodations are available in Selkirk (5 miles from the range). Contact me for assistance. Should you choose to bring your camper, hydro hookup is available.
